Does my dog need to be vaccinated for grooming?
No.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated for training?
Yes. Minimum of C3 in the 12 months prior to the class. Proof of vaccination must be shown before the first class.

Does my puppy need to be vaccinated for Puppy School?
Puppies will have need to have started their vaccination schedule but not be completely vaccinated when they start puppy school. For this reason, Puppy School is held indoors and the floor disinfected before class to keep puppies safe from illness while allowing them to experience puppy school during their crucial socialisation period.

What do I need to bring to training?
We use rewards based training so bring lots of high value treats for your dog. They need to be very enticing for your dog, relatively small and soft enough to eat quickly rather than having to stop and chew.

What type of collar and lead should I use during training?
The best type for most dogs is a flat collar that is firmly fitted just under the ears. Ensure your dog cannot slip the collar off if they turn and pull backwards.
For dogs that pull a lot, a harness may be more suitable. Super Dogz recommends a harness that does not sit across the dogs shoulder and has both front and back attachment points, eg Blue 9 Balance Harness, or Ruffwear Front Range Harness.
A plain, short lead is best to use for training. Retractable leads are not suitable for training.

Which training program should I start with?
In 2025, Super Dogz will be offering small class sizes to enable us to customise class content to suit participants. You’ll be matched with dogs and handlers at a similar stage of training to ensure you get the most out of your training.

I missed a class. Can I get a refund or go into another class?
Super Dogz classes are structured and priced to keep the cost minimal for participants and unfortunately will not be viable if refunds are issued for missed classes. Classes are also non-transferable to other courses.
If class is cancelled by Super Dogz due to inclement weather, the class will be rescheduled.
